Matthew 5:10: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Persecution is a very real threat in many parts of the world. In some countries, believers are willing to die for their faith. Even in America, persecution takes many lesser forms, including verbal attacks. Whether our persecution is big or small, we must remember that our faith will be rewarded. When we stand up for what we believe, proclaiming the name of Jesus in the face of oppression, it will all be worth it in the end. Nothing that man does to us can ever stop us from rising, with the strength of God..
How do you handle when persecution comes? Do you Fight or Flee??

Faith-In-Action:
As believers, our lives in Christ's are tie together with other Christians. When members of the body suffer, the rest of the body suffers. This connection is apparent in Hebrews 13:3, "Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body." "Remember" is more than to think about—or even to pray for—though it would include both of those things. But there's a deeper, practical, heartfelt connection to a persecuted believer, as a hurting family member.
So today we pray and remember those who have been persecuted for their Faith. Today we say thank you to their sacrifices that have paved the way for the gospel spread.
